Speak for yourself. I like a balance of both. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, e.g., those who are still whining about Craig Mecham tearing down (his own property) the buildings on 1100 East 2100 South. I am glad they are gone, and look forward to a new, revitalized Sugar House business area that complements the Sugar House Commons and RDA-funded projects to the west. Too bad it didn't include some of the remaining eyesores north of 2100 South and on the north side of 2100 South east of 1100 East. Exceptions: Smith Crown Vacuum, Sugar House Coffee, All About Coins, and Jolley's Compounding Pharmacy that have invested in improving the area. I salute them.

Why? The US is so fortunate to have a plentiful supply of fresh, safe food. Study after study shows that organic/locally grown food is not necessarily safer (a specific sampling of fruits and vegetables throughout SLC grocery stores are safe--containing no more than the recommended safe levels of insecticide on them, easily removable by rinsing in water, and wiping off/peeling before use. Why are we trying to put farmers out of business to increase a supply of what will mostly be inferior produce grown in mostly funky urban farms. I won't be buying any of it!
