An error occurred while saving the comment Those are radio read meters. It is a new technology we are moving toward. In the future all meters will be read automatically through a network. We have 5 towers located in different area across the county that allow us to have accurate –real time information about water usage. In the near future our residents will be able to see their water usage at any time during the day or night. This is completely tied into our billing and GIS system. We started the project last year and this year we are now up to around 3000 meters on this setup.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jenna,
Each overpass has different owners. It is likely you will need to contact UDOT for anything relating to I-15. I'm sorry but I am not sure of the best way to approach them or who to go to for permission. Likely the best place to start would be their property management group.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jenna,
This summer SLC will begin improving the area under the 900 South freeway pass, with improvements to the bike track there. Two years ago we did a community build on the pump track and we are looking to build on that. the The bike park will serve as an example of what you are looking to do. I think a crowd funding campaign is a good place to start it would help inform policy makers of the potential and acknowledges the community support for the idea.
Thanks,

We are publishing our 2015 YTD Police information on our Socrata Data site https://opendata.utah.gov/Public-Safety/SALT-LAKE-CITY-POLICE-CALLS-FOR-SERVICE-2015-YTD/icir-dj48
Cases have been publishing annually. Will check into this to see if they can publish in a YTD format too.

Kenan,
Here is a link to our Police data http://www.slcpd.com/open-data/ on this site you can find traffic stop data (calls for services collection) at this time we do not have the additional data columns relating to race, ethnicity, or gender included in the calls for service. We do have it included with the use of force data collections. My understanding is that it is in the road map to add that information but it will be a while. It helps having these inquiries to know people care about the information and we will bring up the request with the data governance team.
Also we publish data to the state open data portal https://opendata.utah.gov/salt-lake-city we have our historical police data back to 2007 published there by year.
Hope this helps and if your student is willing to share their view of the data we would love to see it.
Thank you,
Nole Walkingshaw
