Can we view data about traffic stops by race, ethnicity, or gender?
This would be very useful for statistical research that one of my students is interested in.

Kenan,
Here is a link to our Police data http://www.slcpd.com/open-data/ on this site you can find traffic stop data (calls for services collection) at this time we do not have the additional data columns relating to race, ethnicity, or gender included in the calls for service. We do have it included with the use of force data collections. My understanding is that it is in the road map to add that information but it will be a while. It helps having these inquiries to know people care about the information and we will bring up the request with the data governance team.
Also we publish data to the state open data portal https://opendata.utah.gov/salt-lake-city we have our historical police data back to 2007 published there by year.
Hope this helps and if your student is willing to share their view of the data we would love to see it.
Thank you,
